Backgammon Club

Jewish Care Scotland is now introducing the Backgammon Club, run by Rotem Cohen, our Communication and Engagement Officer.

All ages and skill levels are welcome, from experienced players to complete beginners. The club will take place at The Hub at Jewish Care on Wednesday, the 8th of July, at 1:30 PM.

Scam and Fraud Awareness Session

 

Protecting our community from financial harm is a top priority. We are pleased to welcome David Collie from Police Scotland’s Crime Prevention Team to The Hub for a practical, informal session on staying safe from scams and fraud.

What to expect This relaxed session will last between 45 and 60 minutes. It is designed to give you clear, everyday advice to help you stay one step ahead of scammers. David will cover:

  • Understanding Scams: Identifying what to look out for.

  • Common Tactics: The most frequent types of fraud currently targeting our community.

  • Prevention: Simple steps to avoid becoming a victim.

  • Reporting: Exactly what to do and who to contact if you suspect you have been targeted.

  • Q&A: An opportunity to ask questions in a supportive setting.

Please join us for this valuable session to help keep yourself and your loved ones safe.

JCS Monday Funday

This free monthly event offers a chance to meet with friends and enjoy activities or entertainment shaped by your interests.

Monday Funday was developed in response to feedback from people supported by Jewish Care Scotland and aligns with the organisation’s Strategic Plan for 2025 to 2030, with a focus on connection, participation and community wellbeing.

Crochet, sew, knit and natter

Wednesday from 1.30pm

JCS are delighted to announce the launch of “Crochet, sew, knit and natter”, an informal gathering at our weekly Welcome Wednesday session.

Bring along your latest project to work on while catching up with friends, share patterns and tips or even ask for some advice if you need it!

Lunch and light refreshments are available from Welcome Wednesday from 12pm to 3pm.

Please note this is not a group or a club, just an informal meeting of like-minded people!

Eddie will be joining JCS on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 1.30pm. Come along, enjoy a song or two and share the joy of music with everyone in attendance.
