The Aviv Day Care Centre provides a registered day care service for older people aged 65+ who have care and support needs. The club operates twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays. Morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea are included and an activities programme is provided to meet individual outcomes. Most people attending are quite frail or have physical disabilities and transport can be provided to and from the Day Centre.
The Thistle Club provides an opportunity for those who are over 65, and require no additional support, to enjoy our lunch club which meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Lunch and afternoon tea are provided at a small cost. A range of activities – including bridge, discussions, outings, arts and crafts, quizzes, films and keep fit – ensure everyone is included. The club operates on a drop-in basis so those attending must make their own way there.
The Kandu Club provides an opportunity for younger people in our community with enduring illnesses to come together and enjoy a range of social and therapeutic activities, some of which are within the community. When required, transport is provided to and from the club.
The Sunday Club is a weekly social club for those who are 55 +. Activities are similar to the Thistle Club and it is expected that individuals make their own way.
