Our first Bubbly Bingo community fundraising event, which took place at the Walton Community Care Centre on Sunday 22 June was a huge hit. There was a “full house” on the day with over fifty people attending the afternoon event.
With thanks to generous donors like Beaverbrooks, Glasgow City Sightseeing, The Studio Fine Art Company and Sharmanka Kinetic Theatre there was a huge array of fantastic prizes up for grabs. Our lucky bingo winners took away tickets for special events in and around Glasgow as well as beautiful jewellery from Beaverbrooks. There were more chances to win in the raffle and the special cash prize bingo game too. With afternoon tea and fizz from Mark’s Deli all attendees had a great day, even if they didn’t win.
Guests were entertained by Bev Lyons, Scottish showbiz reporter, who brought an extra touch of glamour to the event. JCS volunteer Lennie Wilson brought his own talents to take on the role of Bingo caller on the day.
Jewish Care Scotland’s Deputy Chief Executive thanked all of the guests who attended saying, “ We raised over £1,900 from the Bubbly Bingo event with all profits going towards running our services and allowing us to continue to listen to community needs and develop projects and opportunities to meet those needs. I’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone involved for making it such a fun and successful day.”
