Team members voted as Finalist at Circle of Inspiration Awards 2023

Three members of the Jewish Care Scotland team have been nominated as Finalists in a local upcoming awards ceremony.  Nicole Telfer, Vicki McPhee and Robyn Friel from the charity have each received enough public votes to be named as Finalists in The BWC Glasgow Circle of Inspiration Awards.

 

 

Nicole Telfer, Senior Support Worker at Jewish Care Scotland has been voted as a Finalist in the Rising Star category.  Nicole started her career in social care at Jewish Care Scotland in 2021 as a Support Assistant and her enthusiasm and interest in people saw her quickly promoted to Support Worker and most recently to Senior Support Worker.  Nicole is also a keen footballer and is now giving back by training as a football coach for kids.

 

Jewish Care Scotland Registered Manager Vicki McPhee has reached the final in the Women in Community category.  Vicki has been with Jewish Care Scotland for a number of years, playing a vital role in the Community & Wellbeing team.  Vicki is well known to most of the people supported by Jewish Care Scotland and is actively engaged in the Jewish community in her free time too, getting involved with Calderwood Lodge Primary and taking part in community events.  Vicki also has an interest in amateur dramatics and regularly performs with the Eros Musical Society.

 

Robyn Friel, Deputy Chief Executive at Jewish Care Scotland, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Women in Charity category.  With a career in fundraising and communications in the Scottish Charity Sector spanning almost fifteen years, Robyn joined the charity in June 2021.  Robyn has served on the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Scotland’s Executive committee, Co-Chaired their Professional Development Committee and has worked with several charities in Scotland too.

 

Interim CEO, Linda Kemp, said of the news, “I am delighted that the team have been recognised for the work that they do.  Everyone at Jewish Care Scotland does a great job and makes a positive impact on the lives of the people we support.  The team are all so caring and committed so it’s great to have that recognised at the Circle of Inspiration Awards.”

 

BWC is a membership organisation that supports women in business across Glasgow, through training and mentorship.  The winners of each category will be announced at a Gala Dinner at the Voco Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow on Thursday 25 May.
