Legacies

legacy

Your Present, Our Future – Please consider leaving a gift in your Will to Jewish Care Scotland and help ensure that we can continue to help those most in need in the community.  Your legacy will assist us to be there in times of need including family and financial problems, difficulties associated with illness or disability and those who find their lives are a little lonely.

A Will is essential if you want to decide where your property and possessions go after your death.  If you don’t leave a Will your family may incur extra cost and upset.  If you have no family everything you own goes to the Treasury, rather than to friends or causes close to your heart.  A solicitor can advise you on preparing your Will and leaving a lasting legacy to Jewish Care Scotland.

In your Will you can leave a particular item of value, the proceeds of a life insurance policy, stocks and shares, jewellery or other item of value.  You can leave a percentage of your estate or a percentage of your estate once all your debts and funeral and testamentary expenses are met.

We are delighted to partner with Macdonald Henderson Solicitors who can offer a free Will writing service and advice on Power of Attorney.  Macdonald Henderson Solicitors have agreed to waive their normal fee and help you to write your Will.  Contact Jewish Care Scotland by emailing Robynf@jcarescot.org.uk or call 0141 620 1800.

If you wish to leave a legacy to Jewish Care Scotland please include these details in your will: Jewish Care Scotland, Walton Community Care Centre, May Terrace, Giffnock, Glasgow G46 6LD. Charity number SCO 05267.
