Jewish Care Scotland is the sole owner of the information we collect. We confirm that any personal information which you provide to us, and any user information from which we can identify you, is held in accordance with the registration we have with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

  • Communication about the charity, fundraising and other activities

Sending us an email

We may also use your email to contact you in the future about our organisation or to contact you when necessary. Marketing emails

We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, for our quarterly newsletters and monthly volunteer emails. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies. Post and telephone marketing

We will only contact you if you have given us consent or we have a legitimate interest to send direct marketing by post and telephone. We may contact you regarding the charity, fundraising and other activities.

Social media

We use a third-party provider, Hootsuite, to manager our social media interactions. If you send us a private or direct message via social media the message will be stored by Hootsuite for three months. It will not be shared with any other organisations. Security

Jewish Care Scotland will treat all your Personal Information as confidential (although we reserve the right to disclose this information in the circumstances set out above). We will keep electronic information on a secure server and accessed only by those authorised to do so. We fully comply with all applicable UK Data Protection and consumer legislation.

International data transfer

Different countries have different data protection laws, some of which provide more protection than others. We will not transfer personal data about you to any country outside of the European Economic Area without first ensuring that adequate protections are put in place for your benefit in accordance with best practice and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679).

Legal disclaimer

We will take all reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep your data secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing this website. Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law. This being requests by the police or any other regulatory or government authority investigating suspected illegal activities to provide your Personal Information and /or User Information we may be obliged to do so.
